Up Close & Personal: Breaking the Silence**

Hey fam! For many of us in the Black and Brown community of Generation Y1, we grew up hearing phrases like, “What happens in this house stays in this house,” “Don’t air our dirty laundry,” and “Just pray about it.” While these sayings often came from a place of wanting to protect our families, they’ve also kept so many survivors of domestic violence quiet and suffering in isolation.

But it’s time for us to change the narrative. **Up Close & Personal** is all about breaking that silence. This space is dedicated to real people sharing real stories, engaging in honest conversations, and reminding our community that reaching out for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
