Sometimes, making a difference is as simple as showing up

Sometimes, making a difference is as simple as showing up, pitching in, and supporting people in our community who need a little extra help getting where they need to go.
We’re excited to share that our participation in the Long Gives 2026 fundraiser reached our goal of $3,100! ๐
That support will help cover transportation costs for people with disabilities, making it easier for individuals to access the resources, services, and opportunities they need.
A portion of the funds will specifically support the Independent Living Center, an organization that provides valuable resources and support to people living with disabilities. The funding will also help support the Women’s Support Group for Women with Disabilities, creating a space where women can connect, share experiences, find encouragement, and build community.
Why Transportation Matters
For many of us, getting in the car and heading to an appointment, meeting, support group, or community resource is something we take for granted.
But for people with disabilities, transportation can be a major barrier.
Having reliable transportation can mean the difference between being able to participate and having to stay home. It can mean getting to an important appointment, connecting with a support network, or simply having the freedom to be part of the community.
That’s why this fundraiser matters.
We Did It Together
Reaching $3,100 wasn’t just about hitting a number. It was about coming together as a community and recognizing that everyone deserves the opportunity to participate, connect, and live independently.
To everyone who donated, shared the fundraiser, encouraged others to get involved, or simply cheered us on — thank you!
This is what community looks like: people coming together, helping where they can, and making sure no one gets left behind.
We’re proud to be part of Long Gives 2026, and even more proud that our fundraising efforts will help provide practical support to people with disabilities in our community.
$3,100 raised. One community. Real impact.
And honestly, that’s something worth celebrating.
